Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Sarah Silverman, STUPID PET TRICKS is a half-hour comedy variety series that is a re-imagining of the iconic David Letterman segment, infused with Silverman's unique comedic spin. Episode features a parade of pets performing ridiculous and extraordinary tricks, as well as celebrities getting in on the fun with their own pets, comedic bits and games. Guest stars include Jon Hamm, Will Ferrell, Judd Apatow, Howie Mandel, Jack McBrayer, Charlotte McKinney, Reggie Watts, Jeff Ross and even Letterman himself. Merrill Markoe, who created the segment originally for Letterman, is a consulting producer.

STUPID PET TRICKS premiered on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 5pm ET/2pm PT on TBS, immediately following PUPPY BOWL XX, with a simulcast on truTV, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. In this special premiere, Sarah sits down with David Letterman as he passes the SPT torch; Sarah meets a goat with a yoga practice, a rodeo clown's best friend, a life-saving dog and a big pet.

New episodes then debut on TBS every Monday at 9pm ET/PT, beginning the following day (February 12). In the timeslot premiere on February 12, TBS debuted "Churro O'Clock," with Sarah trying to take the high road as Jack McBrayer drops in on the SPT Writers Room to brag about his new, famous piece of clothing. Plus, Sarah welcomes a world record-seeking dog, an overexcited horse, and a juggling duck.
