Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by David Heilbroner. In 1987, top-notch Kentucky tax attorney, Steve Keeney, becomes obsessed with proving that a young woman's fall from a California cliff was not an accidental one; rather, that the older couple she had been staying with had murdered her for her life insurance. As Keeney keeps on driving himself, he begins to amass a pile of data. What emerges is a portrait of a psychopathic serial killer who has made her living from fraudulent insurance claims. A sensational trial ensues and the ''Ice Lady'' is brought to justice.
