Plot Synopsis

Hosts Abbi Crutchfield and Matthew Latkiewicz mix sketches, expert advice and on-the-street interviews to help viewers get their life game on point, providing a guide to real-life skills people are never taught, including things like how to get a bartender's attention, the best ways to go on a road trip, and determining when lying is the right thing to do. Each half-hour episode of YOU CAN DO BETTER tackles one major topic like technology, sex, money, and friends. In the series premiere, Abbi and Matthew teach viewers all about drinking, including the different types of bars, how to make cocktails on a plane, and the rules of mixing booze and social media. Season 2 of YOU CAN DO BETTER premiered on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:30pm ET/PT on truTV. In the season opener, "Tying the Knot," Matthew and Abbi teach viewers everything about wedded bliss -- from proposing, to giving a wedding toast, to understanding the Wedding Guests' Bill of Rights. Plus, discover foreign wedding traditions like plate-smashing and fish-slapping. In subsequent episodes of the 13-episode second season, Abbi and Matthew tackle these topics: pets, gambling, love, and more.
On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:30pm ET/PT, truTV premiered "Top Ten Countdown to Being a Grown Ass Human," a half-hour YOU CAN DO BETTER special. From drinking at the office holiday party to surviving toxic friends to mastering how to give a wedding speech, the hosts pick the most essential stuff viewers need to know to be a functional adult.
