Plot Synopsis

In this half-hour series, described as CASH CAB in a pawn shop, people enter a pawn shop, hoping to flip their prized possessions and make a quick buck, but they are actually on a pawn game show, where they can win cash if they can answer a few questions correctly. During casting, the agency searched for "western types (male and female) located in Southern California...with items worth at least $400 that they want to pawn, sell or just find out the value." But when these people arrived, trying to sell a Fender bass guitar, a signed NASCAR jacket, a vintage wall phone, WWII pilot's helmet, and much more, they were shocked to find themselves on a gameshow instead. By answering a few quiz questions, they could take home their collectible and its value in cash. When CMT first ordered this series, it had planned to air it daily during summer 2013. Then, scheduled to premiere late night Wednesday/early Thursday morning at 12:30am ET/PT on December 5, 2013, CMT made a last-minute schedule change, delaying the series debut two weeks.
