Plot Synopsis

In UNITED STUFF OF AMERICA, experts discuss how physical artifacts affected American history, revealing how the biggest moments depended on the smallest objects. Buried in attics, hidden in private collections, and secreted away in rarely seen archives are artifacts, objects, and curiosities that tell the epic story of America. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different theme, including the premiere episode, "Badass Presidents," which explores how bottle-thick eyeglasses turned one man into an unlikely war hero; how a coconut may have saved Camelot when JFK allegedly wrote a message on one, leading to his rescue in WWII; how a wooden cane took down a would-be assassin; and how an eyeglass case may have saves Teddy Roosevelt from a would-be assassin's bullet.
On Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, H2 aired the Season 1 finale of UNITED STUFF OF AMERICA, which revealed everyday objects that were secret accomplices in America's most shocking crimes -- from the handmade ladder that made tragic headlines to the clip-on tie that's the last witness to the DB Cooper mystery heist.
