Plot Synopsis

Based on Rebecca Godfrey's 2005 book of the same name, UNDER THE BRIDGE is an eight-episode limited series that tells the true story of 14-year old Reena Virk, who, in 1997 on a quiet island in BC, went to join friends at a party and never returned home. Through the eyes of Godfrey and a local police officer, the series reveals the hidden world of the young girls accused of the murder -- revealing startling truths about the unlikely killer. UNDER THE BRIDGE debuted on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 on Hulu, which released the first two episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Wednesdays through May 29. Episodes include:

"Looking Glass" (Wednesday, April 17, 2024): In 1997, on a quiet island in BC, fourteen-year-old Reena Virk attends a party and never returns home. Her disappearance intrigues a novelist returning to her hometown, who finds herself drawn into the hidden world of the teen suspects. Written by: Quinn Shephard. Directed by: Geeta Patel.

"The John Gotti of Seven Oaks" (Wednesday, April 17, 2024): Cam is thrown by a shocking discovery and the police rush to unravel what really happened under the bridge. Josephine makes a deal with Rebecca while a look into the past reveals Reena's first rebellion. Written by: Ashley Cardiff. Directed by: Kevin Phillips.

"Blood Oath" (Wednesday, April 24, 2024): Upsetting news shakes the small town of Victoria and as rumors surface, Rebecca and Cam reconnect. In the past, Reena enters Josephine's mafia fantasy world. Written by: Jihan Crowther. Directed by: Catherine Hardwicke.

"Beautiful British Columbia" (Wednesday, May 1, 2024): In 1979, Suman and Manjit fall in love, setting into motion a series of events that will change their lives forever. In 1997, the Seven Oaks girls come to the Virk house for a dinner to remember, leading to the shocking revelation of Manjit's secret. Written by: Stuti Malhotra. Directed by: Nimisha Mukerji.

"When The Heat Comes Down" (Wednesday, May 8, 2024): Tensions rise as suspicions surround the teens. Rebecca and Cam hatch a plan -- but an unexpected detour leads Rebecca down a strange rabbit hole, resulting in a new bond. Written by: Tom Hanada. Directed by: Quinn Shephard.

"In Water They Sink as the Same" (Wednesday, May 15, 2024): Past and present wounds entwine as Rebecca and Cam's alliance is tested. The Virks discuss taking matters into their own hands, and the teens use a school dance as cover for their escape plan -- all as another life is threatened. Written by: Quinn Shephard & Samir Mehta. "Three and Seven" (Wednesday, May 22, 2024): The unfolding trial pushes Rebecca to the brink as she begins to question who she should defend. Cam's allegiance to the justice system is tested as details from the night of the murder are finally revealed. Written by: Todd Crittenden. Directed by: Dinh Thai.

"Mercy Alone" (Wednesday, May 29, 2024): The last opportunity for justice arrives as all the participants reckon with their true involvement in the events that transpired. A radical choice of forgiveness allows for closure. Written by: Samir Mehta. Directed by: Kevin Phillips.
