Plot Synopsis

Executive produced, directed and written by Tyler Perry, YOUNG DYLAN is a half-hour comedy series that follows a family whose world is turned upside down when their nephew, Young Dylan, an aspiring hip-hop star, moves in unannounced. Dylan's grandmother Viola realizes that raising her grandson is too much to take on, so she decides to send him to live indefinitely with her affluent son Myles Wilson, his wife Yasmine, and their two kids Rebecca and Charlie. Suddenly, the Wilson family household needs to adapt as lifestyles clash between rising hip-hop star Young Dylan and his straight-laced cousins. From Dylan giving Charlie, Rebecca, and her best friend Bethany lessons in "swag" and street smarts, to learning that even rappers have rules in the Wilson house, the series follows the hijinks this family faces as they try to get on the same beat.

Season 2 of TYLER PERRY'S YOUNG DYLAN premiered on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 8:30pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon. In the season opener, "Food for the Soul," Dylan gets ready to return to Chicago with his mother when a change in the plan causes him to question their relationship and prompts the Wilson family to help him through this latest crisis.
TYLER PERRY'S YOUNG DYLAN returned with "Friday the Juneteenth," a special Season 3 episode, on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 7pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon. With the annual Juneteenth parade on the horizon, Dylan and Rebecca find themselves at odds over the float parade. B Story: Myles and Yasmine utilize Charlie's culinary skills to bake pies for Viola's church social. The remaining Season 3 episodes will debut at a later date.
