Plot Synopsis

Teen behavior expert Josh Shipp worked one-on-one with some of the most at-risk teens in the United States, helping families deal with the situation during private interventions using his gutsy, gritty, in-your-face methods. Josh's goal is to show "that change is possible for any circumstance," and this program documents the transformation of rebellious teens and their families. Each 60-minute episode features one subject, including: Chelsea, a 16-year-old adopted girl whose parents seek help dealing with her heroin addiction; and Jacob, the adopted son of parent who Josh tries to convince to balance tenderness with toughness. As a series sneak peek, Lifetime presented two episodes of this program at 10pm ET on consecutive Friday nights in early November 2012 (Nov. 2 & 9), and then aired the official series premiere almost two months later on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10pm ET.
