Plot Synopsis

Joe Cahn is the self-proclaimed "Commissioner of Tailgating." Fourteen years ago he sold his business and his house, bought a motor home, and hit the road to immerse himself in the world of tailgate parties. After traveling 500,000 miles and visiting more than 120 colleges, Cahn is still cooking. In each episode of "Tailgate Takedown," Cahn travels to a different college stadium during rivarly week, where three teams of local tailgaters face off against one another in a spirited cooking competition. Celebrity judges determine a winner based on taste, presentation and how functional the dishes are in a tailgate environment with the lucky winner receiving a cash prize. During the program, Cahn also takes viewers on a tour of their tricked-out trailers and tailgating tools for a first hand look at the hard work, creativity, inventive technology and cooking skills that go into these one-of-a-kind tailgate creations.
