Plot Synopsis

In each one-hour episode of SWEET HOUSE ALABAMA, the Alabama restoration team of Matt and Shaunna West help a couple house hunt for that diamond in the rough property, peel away it's historic grandeur and restore to its stunning, original beauty -- all within budget. HGTV premiered SWEET HOUSE ALABAMA on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2pm ET/PT, but had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In this sneak-peek episode, Matt and Shaunna help the Herndon family find and buy a classic Southern home to renovate. Then they undertake a huge transformation to open the floor plan, gut the kitchen and rebuild the entire first floor, while preserving the home's historic details.
