Plot Synopsis

In this one-hour series, legendary NYPD detective Ralph Friedman takes viewers inside the white-knuckle cases he investigated while working the streets of the Bronx. Friedman began his police career in the 41st during the turbulent 1970's. Friedman was promoted to detective after five years on the job and his extraordinary career has been commemorated with 219 awards, including the departments second-highest honor: The Police Combat Cross. He found his true calling with the NYPD and developed an impressive reputation among both the department and criminals he locked up. New York City's infamous 41st precinct, dubbed "Ft. Apache" was home to every type of violent crime imaginable during the city's most violent years: the 1970s and '1980s. From seemingly unsolvable murder cases, to undercover busts and deadly shootouts in broad daylight, Detective Friedman was involved in some of the most intense, life threatening cases ever seen on the streets of NYC. From an illegal weapons sting that devolved into a deadly shootout, to a manhunt for a ruthless serial rapist targeting women in Williamsbridge, Friedman repeatedly put his life on the line to bring justice to The Bronx. Now, in each episode of this series, Friedman revisits one of his memorable cases. In the series opener, "Bullet With My Name On It," Friedman and partner Kal Ungar respond to a burglary in progress, and they suddenly find themselves caught in a hail of gunfire. Friedman takes down the shooter, but not before his partner takes seven bullets to the chest. Then, in the second episode, "Williamsbridge Rapist," Friedman is on the hunt for a ruthless serial rapist who's been preying on the women of Williamsbridge for weeks. But the case is stuck in neutral until he enlists the help of the monster's latest victim.

After an eight-week break, STREET JUSTICE: THE BRONX returned with new episodes on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on a new network: Investigation Discovery. In the fall premiere, "Bronx Most Wanted," Friedman gets a tip that Eli Gorin, an escaped felon on the FBI's most wanted list, is hiding out on his turf. He embarks on a deadly game of cat and mouse to bring Gorin to justice, only to learn that the madman has vowed to never be taken alive.
