Plot Synopsis

SNAPPED explores the minds of women who kill. Starting with Season 3, the program examined a wider variety of stories and motives, including women who struck back in self defense. This new direction let the show reflect on women who have committed crimes to protect their children and themselves. By returning to the scene of the crime, SNAPPED tells these women's stories by interviewing law enforcement individuals, family members and sometimes even the accused murderers themselves. On Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, Oxygen aired the 200th episode of SNAPPED, featuring the story of Jennifer Nibbe, who pleaded guilty to the August 31, 2011 death of her husband, James, who she shot in the back of the head while he slept. Immediately after the 200th episode, Oxygen presented the series premiere of the spinoff series SNAPPED: KILLER COUPLES.
