Plot Synopsis

From Sid and Marty Krofft, this reboot of the 1970s series of the same name follows two brothers, Johnny and Scotty, who find a sea monster, Sigmund, on the beach, and they soon become best friends. However, a monster hunter names Capt. Barnabas finds out about Sigmund, and the kids have to scramble to keep their friendly monster hidden. Worse still, Sigmund's brothers, Blurp and Slurp, don't like humans. With the help of their cousin Robyn, this team of friends makes it their mission to protect their new friend and have a great and memorable summer. The series also features a cover of the original theme song, "Friends," by The Roots. This version of SIGMUND AND THE SEA MONSTERS first debuted on Friday, June 17, 2016 when Amazon released the pilot episode, and then sixteen months later -- on Friday, October 13, 2017 -- had its official series premiere when Amazon released the entire first season at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
