Plot Synopsis

Inspired by the true story of eccentric genius Walter O'Brien, SCORPION is a one-hour drama series that centers on him and his international network of geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age. Pooling their extensive technological knowledge to solve mind-boggling predicaments, this collection of geeks continually amazes federal agent Cabe Gallo, who shares a harrowing history with O'Brien. As Homeland Security's new think tank, O'Brien's "Scorpion" team includes: Toby Curtis, an expert behaviorist who can read anyone; Happy Quinn, a mechanical prodigy; and Sylvester Dodd, a statistics guru. However, while this socially awkward group is comfortable with each other's humor and quirks, life outside their circle confounds them, so they rely on Paige Dineen, who has a gifted son (Ralph) with Drew Winters, to translate the world for them. SCORPION returned for its second season on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Satellite of Love," the new Director of Homeland Security (recurring star Alana De La Garza) reunites the team when a nuclear powered Russian satellite is knocked out of orbit and must be diverted before it detonates over Southern California. Also, Paige and Walter must face their feelings for each other after hospital footage reveals Paige kissed him. KISS frontman Gene Simmons makes a cameo appearance as himself in this episode. Additional recurring stars in Season 2 include: Kevin Weisman, who portrays Walter's new friend, Ray, whom he meets doing court-mandated community service; and Peri Gilpin, who will play Deputy Director of Homeland Security Katherine Cooper.
Tonight (Monday, November 23, 2015) at 9pm ET/PT, CBS premieres the "Arrivals and Departures" episode of SCORPION. When Team Scorpion and Walter's parents visit Megan in the hospital as her health deteriorates, they are quarantined after a deadly fungus outbreak threatens to infect everyone.
