Plot Synopsis

THE RICKY GERVAIS SHOW animates a series of podcasts that first appeared on The Guardian website in 2006. These podcasts were so popular that they earned a spot in the 2007 Guinness World Record with an average of 261,670 downloads per episode. Topics of conversation include: the merits of 20th century inventions; Karl's suggestion for population control; philosophy through the ages; Karl's round head; and thoughts on charity. The podcasts also feature the following regular segments: "Monkey News" and Stephen reading excerpts from Karl's journal.
