Plot Synopsis

RESCUE ME tells the stories of Engine 62, Battalion 15 in New York City and the personal and emotional battles of its members. The series focuses on Tommy Gavin as he struggles with alcoholism, 9/11 post-traumatic stress disorder, and a challenging family life. Tommy has real difficulties coping with the death of his cousin, Jimmy Keefe, on 9/11 -- Tommy has visions of Jimmy and also sees people he failed to save over the years. "Rescue Me" is both provocative and controversial -- it incorporates storylines about rape, homophobia, drug abuse, revenge and mental disorders.
