    Season 1

Plot Synopsis

Best friends Mordecai and Rigby are groundskeepers who work for Benson in a park owned by Pops. Their job is deadly dull so Mordecai and Rigby find new ways to entertain themselves anyway possible -- much to the displeasure of Benson and the delight of Pops. Their antics often lead to things spiraling out of control and into the surreal: they open portals to other dimensions, summon demons via an '80s arcade game and accidentally use choreographed dance moves to send co-workers to the moon. Mordecai is a young, six-foot-tall blue jay who likes to have fun despite his burgeoning sense of responsibility. Rigby, a hyperactive raccoon, is like an out-of-control teenager with complete fearlesness and absolutely no boundaries. Pops is an older, lollipop-headed gentleman from Lolliland who is filthy rich and sheltered, taking childlike delight in almost everything that happens. Their boss, Benson, is a gumball machine that is always on their case. When they break something, only one person can fix their screw-ups: Skips, who got his name because he can't walk or run but only skip. They have two rival groundskeepers: High Five Ghost and Muscle Man, a macho jerk that messes up the wording of his insults and makes fun of himself instead. Plus, Mordecai has a crush on Margaret, a red-breasted robin who works as a waitress at the coffee shop across the street from the park. Season 4 began on October 1, 2012, the 20th anniversary of Cartoon Network, with a full 30-minute episode. Plus, the new season features a new Halloween special, a Christmas special with Ed Asner as Santa Claus, and FAMILY MATTER's Jaleel White as the ghost of an '80s dancer. Season 5 opened on Monday, September 3, 2013 at 7:30pm ET/PT. At the close of Season 5, Mordecai and CJ went on an epic "real date" that ended in death-defying explosions -- and a kiss. REGULAR SHOW returned for it sixth season on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 7:30pm ET/PT on Cartoon Network. In the Season 6 premiere, "Maxin' and Relaxin'," Mordecai takes CJ to meet his embarrassing parents (guest voices Katey Sagal and Ed Begley Jr.), because he wants to get a mix tape from their house. The rest of Season 6 features the show's annual "Terror Tales" Halloween special, a wedding, and a bunch of half-hour specials. Cartoon Network premiered the eighth and final season of REGULAR SHOW on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 8-8:30pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes, with new episodes airing weeknights through January 2017. Last season's cliffhanger ripped The Park from Earth and took Mordecai, Rigby and the gang with it. Now, the new season takes place entirely in outer space. In the season opener (8pm), "One Space at a Time," the guys find themselves in space. The, in the night's second new episode (8:15pm), "Cool Bro Bots," Rigby and Mordecai have a confrontation with robots.
