Plot Synopsis

A group of men and women try to avoid elimination while competing against each other in mental and physical challenges on a remote island, as they vie for the $100,000 grand prize. Host Steve Austin guides this group through challenges that celebrate its strengths and limitations, with teammates sending one competitor packing at the end of each episode. Season 1 contestants included these 12 people: Teri Allen (Ft. McCoy, FL), a grandmother at the age of 30 by marriage, who proudly calls herself a loudmouth party animal has a shooting range in her home; Eric Bradford (Lexington, SC) -- the party boy jock, professional wrestler and former college cheerleader -- who is extremely energetic and highly competitive, but can sometimes come off as abrasive and selfish; John Paul 'JP' Burwell (Panama City, FL), an outgoing bartender who enjoys drinking and loves playing golf almost more than he loves hunting, fishing and four-wheeling; Dove Bush (Castlewood, VA), an educated and artistic Dolly Parton fan, who loves traveling, music, spirituality and outdoor activities; Cayton 'Tex' Flippen (Sumner, TX), married with a young daughter, who is a highly motivated, small-town guy with a competitive nature; Kevin 'Bobo' Floyd (Midland City, AL), a good-hearted truck driver, who will do anything for you -- as long as you don't piss him off; Adam Freeman (Nashville, TN), a hairstylist with a big and fabulous personality, who came out as a gay man after two failed marriages and is competing for his five kids; Jeannie Hunter (Marble Falls, TX), a fun-loving and adventurous Southern Belle, who enjoys bull riding and likes to hunt and be outdoors; Jennifer Kercher (Lakeland, FL), a tough ex-Navy girl and twin, who is is a certified EMT and a guy's girl who can change her own car tires and oil; Catherine Long (Harrisburg, NC), a blonde and bubbly Southern Belle, who likes to have a good time and is fun to be around ;-- but can become stubborn and hot-headed at times; Adam Sullins (Bristol, VA), an outgoing and likeable professional wrestler, who loves hunting, fishing, mudding, NASCAR, beer and football; and Kassie Worley (Campton, KY), a single mom, who may come off as sweet and innocent, but is not afraid to speak her mind and tell it like it is.
Season 2, which premiered on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 9pm ET, featured the following 14 contestants: Justin Campbell (Ragland, AL), a 26-year-old laborer from Alabama, who loves jug fishing and has dreams of becoming a chicken farmer; Angela Croke (Josephine, TX), a 34-year-old stay-at-home-mom, who loves spending time with her two kids and her lifted diesel truck; Joe Durdaller (Burke, TX), a 23-year-old Texan, who played semi-pro football before his current gig as a casino bartender; Nick Honea (Albertville, AL), a 26-year-old student, who enjoys the finer things in life, like chasing women, drinking beer, hunting and junkin'; Wade Jones (Our Town, AL), a 40-year-old country store manager, who loves singing his heart out at karaoke and is proud of his redneck car collection; Heather Maier (Louisville, KY), a 24-year-old supportive living assistant, who is the proud owner of one of the loudest burps in Kentucky; Lisa McCreless (Pinson, AL), a 32-year-old manager at a loan company, who worked in a meat packing factory at age 14 and loves shooting pistols; Kyle Medina (White House, TN), a high-school wrestling coach, who spends his spare time mudding, hunting and getting crazy after a few beers; Kelly Moss (Oakfield, TN), a 29-year-old member of the Army National Guard, who sports a tattoo of her favorite gun on her back and works at a steakhouse restaurant; Donna Stickley (Lake Wales, FL), a 25-year-old hog-hunting hair stylist, who won a 'dirty girl' competition at a mud fest; Darren Sweet (Hiddenite, NC), a tree trimmer from the Carolinas, who's taught himself to fix just about anything and owns more than 20 guns; Eliza Bentley Weber (Memphis, TN), 33-year-old sports bar and outdoor gear shop employee, who is a deer-hunting enthusiast; Shawna Willson (Lakeland, FL), 26-year-old stay-at-home-mom, who can proudly kill and clean a chicken in less than 10 minutes; William Worley (Gloucester, VA), a 47-year-old software engineer, who has big plans for fun if he wins the money, including buying a tractor, a crab boat and pots for a huge redneck party.
The third season of REDNECK ISLAND premiered immediately following the CMT MUSIC AWARDS, on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT, before moving to its regular timeslot on Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT. Season 3 included these 15 competitors: Amnesty Sundstrom (Haymarket, KY), a 21-year-old bartender, who loves riding horses, drinking beer and dancing at bars; Bayly Risen (Brandenberg, KY), a 22-year-old retail banker, who loves putting on her camouflage overalls and heading to the horse stables; Brandon Keys (Ellisville, MS), a 27-year-old mechanic, who grew up in the country and loves to hunt, fish and drink beer; Brittany Martin (Argo, AL), a 23-year-old bartender, who is always up for some cow tipping, drinking, fishing and hunting; Brittany Woodle (Bennettsville, SC), a 25-year-old waitress, who loves being the center of attention; Candice Orso (Creola, AL), a 24-year-old waitress, wholoves the race track and going hunting; Cody Hodge (Brooksville, AL), a 23-year-old construction worker, who will buy the largest double-wide trailer that money can buy if he wins; Daniel 'Jo' Floyd (Theodore, AL), a 24-year-old pressure washer, who is looking for a good time and not another relationship; Lindsey Donohoe (Bipley, WV), a 29-year-old juvenile-delinquent manager, who raises rabbits for food and owns two potbelly pigs as pets; Michael Mace (Rocky Mountain, NC), a 26-year-old exterminator, who can fix anything with a roll of duct tape; Misty Gordon (Dublin, GA), a 22-year-old bartender and golf-cart girl, who considers herself more of a Georgia Rebel than a Georgia Peach; Phillip Honea (Pendleton, SC), a 30-year-old electrician, who rides bulls, builds tree houses and shoots guns; Shane Tucker (Smith Lake, AL), a 42-year-old used-car salesman, who loves playing beer pong and considers himself to be an exceptional dancer; Stacey Schuler (Shepherdsville, KY), a 26-year-old recovery specialist, who can outhunt and outdrink any man; and Travis Davis (Manchester, KY), a 32-year-old mechanic, who is an avid guitar player and NASCAR watcher.
