Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by Steven Levitan, REBOOT is an eight-episode comedy series that centers on the dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s family sitcom, as they deal with unresolved issues when their fictional TV series, "Step Right Up," is rebooted. Hannah and Gordon's relationship is tested when he brings in a new cast member without her knowledge. This cast member also drives a wedge between Reed and Bree, while Clay gets sucked into a new relationship with someone close to Zack. Then, as Bree and Reed struggle to get through an intimate scene on camera, Hannah and Gordon each hire their own writers, causing paralysis in the writers room. Meanwhile, Clay tried to end an awkward relationship at work before it blows up in his face. REBOOT premiered on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, as Hulu released the first three episodes. A new episode debuted each Tuesday through October 25.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Hulu released "Who's the Boss," the season finale of REBOOT. Bree gets hit with surprising news during an on camera interview just as Reed gets a surprise visitor. Clay struggles with buying a house. Hannah and Gordon learn that there's been a regime change at Hulu that does not bode well for the show.
