Plot Synopsis

Created by Peter Berg, QB1: BEYOND THE LIGHTS is a half-hour docuseires that follows three star high school quarterbacks as they play their final season before moving on to Division I college football. Each season focuses on a different trio of QBs, taking viewers inside the game, lives and minds of the athletes -- from the parents who sacrifice everything to devoted communities that fill the stands every Friday night.

Season 1 premiered on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season. In three different states, QBs Jake Fromm, Tayvon Bowers and Tate Martell begin their last year -- and last football season -- of high school. Game 1 arrives for both Jake and Tayvon as Tate visits with some younger players. Tayvon deals with inexperienced teammates and meaningful memories. Tayvon reconnects with old friends as he tries to move forward. Tate lands in hot water after a big first game in Texas. Jake celebrates a big day.

The entire 10-episode sophomore season debuted on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. High school stars Re-al Mitchell, Sam Hartman and Justin Fields each prepare for a huge season in California, South Carolina and Georgia, respectively. Sam prepares to play at a new school, Re-al aims to silence the knocks on his height and Justin sets his sights on repeating his stellar prior season. Sam tries to lead Oceanside to its first win in school history. Re-al and St. John Bosco prepare for a big trip as Justin's team suffers a big setback.
Netflix released the 10-episode third season on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Three football phenoms set for stardom -- Spencer Rattler, Lance LeGendre and Nik Scalzo -- navigate the ultimate season of their high school careers. Lance returns from a grueling minicamp. Spencer aims to bring his school its first football state championship. Nik's team takes their first big hit. The first day of school arrives. As Lance comes back from an injury, Nik revisits a near-death experience. Spencer's team makes a big statement.
