Plot Synopsis

Since debuting in 2010, each Pinstripe Bowl has been held in Yankeee Stadium in Bronx, NY. The inaugural game -- which was played on Thursday, December 30, 2010 -- featured the Big East team with the third-best conference record against the Big 12 team with the sixth-best conference record after BCS selections. The contest marked the first NCAA football bowl game in the Bronx since the Gotham Bowl on December 15, 1962, when Nebraska defeated Miami 36-34 at the original Yankee Stadium. The Pinstripe Bowl has tie-ins with the Big Ten and ACC.
