Plot Synopsis

ONLY HAPPENS IN is a series of four one-hour specials that takes viewers on a visual ride around the globe to discover the places, people and events that are so unique, they can only be experienced side-by-side with the locals. From robot waiters serving dinner in Tokyo to runners competing in a minus-50-degree Ice Marathon on frozen Lake Baikal in Russia, these programs reveal amazing cultures and venture far off the beaten path. Each one-hour program focuses on a different one of these four destinations: Alaska, Japan, Russia, and Dubai. Travel Channel aired the four specials on consecutive Sundays, showing back-to-back episodes from 9-11pm ET/PT on Sunday, November 30 and December 7, 2014.
