Plot Synopsis

Professional wrestler 'Showtime' Eric Young travels across America -- from New England to the beaches of North Carolina to the coast of Florida -- in search of the most outrageous fishing experiences. As Young criss-crosses the nation, he'll experience: paddleboard fishing for a lemon shark, blacktip shark or bull shark in Florida; white-water kayak bass fishing on the Devils River in Texas; balloon fishing for redfish in San Antonio; fishing off a jet ski, while venturing 30 miles off the coast of North Carolina in the Graveyard of the Atlantic; raft fishing for sailfish, using plywood and an inner tube off the coast of Miami; hunting flounder in the shallow waters of Cape Carteret; skishing in Jamestown, Rhode Island; nighttime squid jigging off Point Judith, Rhode Island; using pantyhose on a rod and reel to catch sharks in the Atlantic Ocean; fly fishing for Mako sharks in San Diego; urban fishing in New York; free dive underwater spear fishing in Long Island Sound; and many more angling adventures in America. Discovery aired the series premiere with back-to-back episodes on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 9pm ET, and the series then switched to its normal timeslot and channel on Sundays at 9pm ET on Animal Planet, starting August 5, 2012. Immediately after airing a five-hour marathon (3-8pm) of episodes from Season 1, Animal Planet debuted Season 2 of this series on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes that featured Eric in Hawaii, where he attempted to collect the Hawaiian delicacy known as opihi, and then in Alaska, where he spent long hours in the frigid waters of the Bering Sea hunting for cod.
