Plot Synopsis

NFL FOOTBALL FANATIC is a half-hour reality series that follows Scottish-born Darren McMullen, as he travels across the United States to delve deep into the culture of the National Football League. In each 30-minute episode, Darren visits a different American city to learn about the unique take they have on football fandom, with real "super-fans" as his guides. He explores all aspects of NFL traditions and experiences, with behind-the scenes access to players, coaches, and other iconic football figures during team practices and pre-game warmups. By the end of the journey after visiting with fans of eight teams, Darren selects a team to call his own. NFL FOOTBALL FANATIC premiered on Monday, January 1, 2017 at 11:05pm ET/PT, as USA Network debuted back-to-back new episodes:

"Atlanta Falcons" (11:05pm): Like a phoenix, Atlanta is rising from a rough season. To understand the bond of this brotherhood, Darren plays Ping-Pong with Matt Ryan and is invited into the home of Grady Jarrett.

"Dallas Cowboys" (11:35pm): Darren finds out first hand why The Cowboys are internationally famous. He gets an insider's look at America's team, plays catch with Dak Prescott, and meets Super Bowl champion Drew Pearson.

Later in the season, Darren also learns about these teams: Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams.

On Monday, January 22, 2018 from 11:05pm-12:20am ET/PT, USA Network premiered back-to-back episodes of NFL FOOTBALL FANATIC for the season finale:

"Kansas City Chiefs" (11:05pm): The fandom roots in Kansas City run deep. Darren takes a tackle from Chris Jones, gets a haircut with Travis Kelce, and rides the famous horse Warpaint.

"Los Angeles Rams" (11:35pm): Returning to LA after two decades, the Rams are reigniting their fan base. Darren practices with the team and gets style tips from Kayvon Webster.
