Plot Synopsis

Margie Albright lives with her father, Vernon, and tries to help him avoid gold-digging women, get new clients and act his age. She usually schemes with the next-door neighbor, Mrs. Odett, and their elaborate plans often require that Margie wears disguises. As soon as Margie realizes there's big trouble -- which happens nearly every episode -- she makes a guttural sound called 'The Margie gurgle.' A bit of trivia: Vernon is TV's first single dad.
