MURDER IN THE 21ST is a one-hour crime documentary series that explores some of this century's most notorious homicide investigations through a deep dive of each victim's digital footprint. Analyzing social media posts, texts, emails and podcasts alongside authentic archival materials and police records, Murder in the 21st provides unflinching access to each case as investigators uncover motive, means and opportunity. In the series opener, "A Deadly Post," police are hard pressed to find solid leads when a 19-year-old girl vanishes without a trace. After her body is found dead on an isolated road, a frenzy of theories and suspicion from national news and amateur web sleuths takes detectives down a web of confusion until the heartbreaking truth is revealed.
