Plot Synopsis

Created, written and directed by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, A MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD is a seven-episode mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm -- a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker named Darby Hart. Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life. A MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD debuted on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 on FX on Hulu, which released the first two episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Tuesdays through December 19. Episodes include:

"Homme Fatal" (Tuesday, November 14, 2023): An amateur sleuth receives a mysterious invitation to a reclusive tech billionaire's secret retreat.

"The Silver Doe" (Tuesday, November 14, 2023): Darby believes the death she witnessed may, in fact, be murder, but no one believes her. The grief and shock of the events thrust her into remembering her own buried past.

"Survivors" (Tuesday, November 21, 2023): Darby plays the role of the perfect guest in order to covertly investigate the crime. She finds shemay be getting closer to the truth when another life is taken.

"Family Secrets" (Tuesday, November 28, 2023): There's a killer on the loose and nowhere to run with a storm closing in. Darby breaks out of lockdown and discovers the retreat may not be what she thought it was.

"Crypt" (Tuesday, December 5, 2023): Darby confronts her prime suspect only to find the tables turned and an unexpected alliance formed...Until someone else dies and her own life is threatened.

"Crime Seen" (Tuesday, December 12, 2023): Darby uncovers the secret retreat within the retreat. In the past, she and Bill come face to face with the Silver Doe Killer.

"Retreat" (Tuesday, December 19, 2023): The remaining guests gather and discover the killer among them.
