Plot Synopsis

MOTO-CAUSE: NEALE BAYLY RIDES follows motorcycle journalist Neale Bayly and three average riders with varying degrees of experience, as they ride BMW GS-800s and GS-1200s for nine days across Peru, from Lima to Moquegua and the Hogar Belen Orphanage, where they assist with multiple projects. After training in South Carolina, they embark on their Peruvian charity expedition, while battling traffic, sand storms, hail storms, and injury on their journey to the orphanage. Once at the orphanage, the riders help Wellspring International Outreach volunteers complete a building project. Wellspring, founded by Bayly, is a charitable organization that supports Sister Loretta and the 150-300 children that she houses, feeds, clothes and educates at Hogar Belen. The three riders are: Dr. Laura Ellis, the least experienced rider of the trio, who was drawn to the journey for personal reasons; Rev. James Johnson, a Presbyterian minister affectionately known as the "Whiskey Priest," who offers big-picture perspective to the adventure; Troy Rice, an IT business owner, who was looking in some ways for a simple escape from the every day; Plus, they're joined by a support crew that includes: Bill Conger, who works as Bayly's tail gunner; and Brandon McDearis, a nutrition consultant and Wellspring director, who drives the support truck and provides food services to the riders.
