Plot Synopsis

Inspired by the 2009 feature film of the same name, this animated series, MONSTERS VS. ALIENS, follows the further adventures of the beloved monsters -- B.O.B., the gelatinous blob without a brain; Link, the prehistoric fish-man; Dr. Cockroach, the half-man/half-insect mad scientist; and Susan (aka Ginormica), the incredible growing woman -- as they learn to adapt to a new world and work side by side with a bizarre group of aliens. In the series sneak-peek episode, an alien imprisons the President and makes a permanent home in Area Fifty-Something. Nickelodeon showed a 15-minute short, "B.O.B.'s Big Break," on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:30am, just three days before the movie's DVD release. One month later, on October 28 at 8pm, NBC broadasted the 30-minute Halloween special, MONSTERS VS. ALIENS: MUTANT PUMPKINS FROM OUTER SPACE. To introduce the series to a wider audience, Nickelodeon aired a sneak-peek episode on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 9:30pm ET/PT, immediately following the 26th Annual KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS. Two weeks later, on Saturday, April 6 at 11:30am ET, Nickelodeon presented the same episode as the official series premiere.
