Plot Synopsis

Each year from 2011-2016, singer Michael Buble hosted a new one-hour Christmas special on NBC, featuring musical performances with and appearances by special guests stars. A new holiday special next debuted in 2021.

The first special, A MICHAEL BUBLE CHRISTMAS, which aired on December 6, 2011 to promote Buble's newly released album, "Christmas," was highlighted with appearances by Oscar the Grouch, Justin Bieber, Tracy Morgan, Kellie Pickler, and Ed Helms.

The following year, Buble hosted MICHAEL BUBLE: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, which debuted on December 10, 2012 on NBC, featuring Elmo, Blake Shelton, Carly Rae Jepsen and Rod Stewart.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, MICHAEL BUBLE'S 3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL premiered, with Buble, Cookie Monster, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige performing "The Christmas Song," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and "Let It Snow."

His fourth holiday special, MICHAEL BUBLE'S CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK, premiered on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, featuring Barbra Streisand, Ariana Grande, Miss Piggy and The Rockettes.

MICHAEL BUBLE'S CHRISTMAS IN HOLLYWOOD, his fifth holiday special, premiered on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 8-9pm ET/PT on NBC, with Celine Dion, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Tori Kelly joining Buble for special performances in celebration of his favorite holiday, Christmas. Plus William Shatner, Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Jay Leno, Eva Longoria, and Blake Shelton also joined in the festivities for comedy segments.

Michael Buble's sixth holiday special, MICHAEL BUBLE SINGS AND SWINGS, premiered on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 8-9pm ET/PT on NBC. Taped in October before a live audience in Manchester, England, this one-hour special features Buble backed by his live band and the 50-piece London Philharmonic Orchestra, as he sings fan-favorite pop hits as well as jazz standards that he has perfected over his career. Featured songs include "Nobody But Me," "Always on My Mind," "Home," "God Only Knows," and "Feeling Good."

On Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT, NBC premiered "Michael Buble's Christmas in the City," a new one-hour Michael Buble holiday special with a mix of comedy, music, special guests and the spirit of Christmas from Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center. Joining Buble on stage for special performances and comedy sketches are Leon Bridges, Camila Cabello, Jimmy Fallon, Kermit the Frog and Hannah Waddingham. Buble is also accompanied by a 48-piece orchestra for renditions of beloved holiday songs.
