Plot Synopsis

Veteran journalist Maury Povich hosts MAURY, a daily one-hour nationally syndicated talk show that explores compelling issues that affect relationships and families, providing a platform for the unheard to tell their story. Thus, issues involving transsexuals, missing children, unusual & debilitating phobias are common. However, popular topics like "Who's the Father," which uses a paternity test to determine the correct baby daddy, and telling truth from lie through polygraph test, are series staples. On Monday, September 15, 2014 (check local listings), MAURY returned for its 24th season. In the season premiere, "I'm 55 ... You're 22 ... I Can't Be Your Baby's Father," 22-year-old Vernetta claims 55-year-old Ronnie is the father of her son -- plus, she says he lied about his age and also neglected to tell her that he was married when they hooked up -- but a DNA test will prove whether or not Ronnie's truthful when he says Vernetta's claim is impossible.

Season 25, the show's 18th since NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution took over, premiered on Monday, September 21, 2015 (check local listings for time and channel), featuring these guests in the early episodes of the new season: Jessica, who slept with her boyfriend's cousin; Amanda, who got back at her ex by sleeping with five men; Viola, who says her daughter's boyfriend is a cheater and was inappropriate with her; Annie, who fears that her DJ boyfriend has been unfaithful; and many more guests who have been involved in family and relationship drama.
