Plot Synopsis

Based on the MADAGASCAR theatrical films. MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD is an animated musical comedy series that follows the Central Park Zoo's loveable foursome: Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo. These young residents of the zoo's rescue habitat have big dreams and big plans. The series celebrates being yourself, never giving up, and pursuing your dreams with abandon, no matter the size. On Monday, September 7, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, the six-episode first season of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD debuted on Hulu and Peacock.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Hulu released "A Fang-Tastic Halloween," an animated Halloween special. After hearing spooky rumors about the new habitat resident -- a bat -- Marty is determined to protect his friends from the newcomer. But when the bat helps him out of a tough situation, Marty learns it's better to get to know someone before judging them.

The six-episode second season of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD premiered on Friday, December 11, 2020 on Hulu and Peacock. In Season 2, Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria continue their big adventures in New York City. The foursome become babysitters for a new litter of tiny hedgehogs, Melman gets stuck in a firetruck, and Alex is accidentally mistaken for a large house cat. While their shenanigans may lead to sticky situations, the little pals always work together and make the best of whatever life throws their way.

On Thursday, May 27, 2021, the seven-episode third season of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD dropped on Peacock and Hulu. In the season opener, "Alex and Behemoth" Alex realizes he's too small to climb onto his new habitat "stage," and he feels too small for his dreams- -- until he hears of a big, new roller coaster at Coney Island.

On Friday, August 6, 2021, the six-episode fourth season of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD dropped on Peacock and Hulu. In the season opener, "The First Lost Tooth," Melman loses his first tooth, and he fears he won't be Kate's baby anymore, going on a city-wide chase to recover his tooth. Then, in the second episode, "The Lone Park Ranger," Ranger Hoof invites Marty on a Junior Ranger night trot in Central Park, and Marty is determined to prove he's got what it takes to do the job -- but when Alex tags along for the ride, Marty learns "what it takes" is a whole lot of teamwork.

Season 5 of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD premiered on Thursday, November 11, 2021 on Peacock and Hulu, as both streaming services released the entire six-episode new season. In the season opener, "A Frog Tale," Lala announces that she'll be moving to a bigger pond, so Gloria looks for a new tankmate. In the second episode, "A Little Too Wild," Melman is nervous about his first sleepoever when the gang goes camping in a vacant part of the zoo.

"Holiday Goose Chase," a 23-minute holiday special, dropped on Friday, November 26, 2021 on Peacock and Hulu. During holiday time in the habitat, Melman is determined to add one more sticker to his yearly "Nice" list; when he meets a gander who's been separated from his family, Melman and the gang embark on a wild goose chase around the city.

The entire six-episode sixth season of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD dropped on Thursday, January 13, 2022 on Peacock and Hulu. In the season opener, "Lost and Pound," Marty finds a puppy and tries to locate its owner until discovering it is an Arctic wolf pup.

MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD returned for its seventh season on Monday, April 4, 2022, as Hulu and Peacock released all six episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "The Pigeon and the Egg," to prove to his Ma that he's responsible enough to move into a nest of his own, Ant'ney sets out to safely return a lost egg.

Season 8 of MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD debuted on Thursday, June 30, 2022, as Peacock and Hulu released the entire seven-episode new season. In the season opener, "Rats," Rocky asks Alex if he'll direct his original musical, RATS, and Alex accepts, despite having zero directing experience. When the show devolves into disaster, Alex realizes he should've told Rocky he was a newbie at directing.
