Plot Synopsis

Host John Bowler meets a lineup of amateur inventors, weekend scientists and eccentric engineers, each with an idea that may be crazy enough to work -- or just plain crazy. Using scrapyard metal, household materials and duct tape -- a good DIYer and inventor always uses duct tape -- they'll MACGYVER an array of oddball contraptions, including: the GRV2, a jet-powered motorbike (Don Giandomenico; San Bernardino, CA); the Chain Link 4x4, a rock-crawling machine that moves like a lizard (Cameron Carlson; Tierra Del Sol, CA); a turbo-charged leaf blower (Chris Chug; SC); a Moon Jumper, which is a 40-foot-long teeter-totter on a two-story-high telephone pole (Needham brothers; Reno, NV); a basketball-playing robot (Steve Norris; Medford, MA); a water cannon on wheels (Lance Greathouse; Phoenix, AZ); and many more oddball inventions. Then Bowler works with each inventor for 48 hours to help them improve the next great contraption.
