Plot Synopsis

LOG CABIN KINGS (fka TIMBER KINGS) is a one-hour reality series that follows the master log smiths at Pioneer Log Homes, as they build massive, multi-million dollar log homes in the small town of Williams Lake, British Columbia. Under tight deadlines and intense pressure, the crew handcrafts each home in the log yard, then takes it apart, ships it around the world, and reconstructs it wherever the client wants. Discovery aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, as Joel wrecked an 18-wheeler during a winter build in Ontario, Beat and Andre sold a thousand-year-old tree to an eccentric Arkansas millionaire, and Peter pushed Bryan Jr. to the breaking point in a fight for new equipment. Four months after Discovery debuted the Season 1 finale, Destination America aired the network premiere of this series on Wednesday, September 17 2014 from 9-11pm ET/PT, changing the title to BUILDING LOG HOMES for the show's first season. On Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Destination America aired the U.S. premiere of TIMBER KINGS' second season. In the Season 2 opener, one member of the Pioneer team completes a remote fishing cabin using old equipment that they refer to as "Rust Bucket." Two huge projects need to be completed but the team has to compromise between time and space in the work yard.
GAC aired the network premiere of this series with the title LOG CABIN KINGS on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 8-10pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes from the first season. In the night's first episode (8pm), "Wilderness Retreat," Joel builds an enormous house in the wilderness for a client he's never met while Bryan Sr. promises to create amazing log furniture in only one day and Beat must deliver. Then, in the night's second episode (9pm), "Truck Overboard," Joel's build is threatened when one of his 18-wheelers wrecks while Beat and Andre sell a thousand year old tree to an eccentric Arkansas businessman.
