Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and series star David Oyelowo, LAWMEN: BASS REEVES is a six-episode drama series that follows the journey of Bass Reeves and his rise from enslavement to law enforcement as the first Black U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi. Despite arresting over 3,000 outlaws during the course of his career, the weight of the badge was heavy, and he wrestled with its moral and spiritual cost to his beloved family.

Created by Chad Feehan, LAWMEN is an anthology series with each season featuring a different iconic lawmen and outlaw who has impacted history. The first installment, LAWMEN: BASS REEVES, debuted with two new episodes on Sunday, November 5, 2023 on Paramount+, with a new episode dropping weekly through December 17. CBS aired the first two episodes of LAWMEN: BASS REEVES as a series sneak peek on linear television on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 9-11pm ET/PT.

On Sunday, December 17, 2023, Paramount+ released the season finale of LAWMEN: BASS REEVES. After a waltz with the devil, Bass, Billy Crow, and Sherrill have a dangerous reckoning with Mister Sundown. Meanwhile, trouble ensues for Jennie, Sally, and Esme back at the Reeves' farm.
