Plot Synopsis

LATE NITE EATS is a half-hour reality series that follows Chef Jordan Andino, as he travels across America while on the hunt to find restaurants that reign supreme in the late-night food scene. He meets with passionate chefs to taste their most popular dishes and learn how they are revolutionizing after-hours dining. In each 30-minute episode, Jordan travels to a different city. In the series opener, he hits the streets to uncover unexpected late night delights in Pittsburgh. First Jordan heads to The Yard in Shadyside where they're grilling up more than 29 different kinds of grilled cheese sandwiches! He tries a breakfast grilled cheese that's sure to leave egg on his face before slaying his hunger with their Buffy the Mac Slayer, which is filled with buffalo chicken and gooey mac and cheese. Then Jordan heads downtown to Caribbean-themed Pirata for flavorful Jamaican beef patties, skirt steak tacos and adventurous pirate life. Lastly, it's a trip to Umami in Lawrenceville for some mouth-watering Japanese-style fried chicken and deep-fried mochi ice cream.
On Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the season finale of LATE NITE EATS. In the season ender, Jordan is exploring the culinary delights of Toronto, Canada's most diverse city. He kicks off his tour at French-style bistro Chantecler, where Chef Colin Rayner blows Jordan's mind with a sophisticated take on fried chicken and an elegant yet simple take on a cheeseburger with pickles, their Royale with Cheese. For his second stop, Jordan looks for something sweet and finds Petit Potato's signature dish, Golden Toast. Syrup-drenched toast, green tea ice cream, matcha and red bean flavors make this dessert an outright hit. He also tries owner Fiona Cheung's take on a waffle with ice cream, only hers is flavored with purple yam. Jordan wraps up his tour at Nightowl Toronto, a retro restaurant dishing up classic comfort foods like mac and cheese with crunchy bacon, fish tacos and a boozy root beer float for dessert.
