Plot Synopsis

Raylan Givens has all the makings of a 19th-century lawman, but he's a present-day U.S. Marshal. He enforces his own brand of justice, which places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service. Because of that conflict, he is reassigned to a District that includes the rural Kentucky town where he grew up. Season 4, which premiered on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10pm ET on FX, didn't feature a villain; instead, Raylan will tackle a season-long cold case involving his father, while coming to terms with his ex-wife being pregnant with his child and preventing Boyd from building a criminal empire in his hometown.
