Plot Synopsis

Determined to discover who tried to kill her, Sam Hunter, an operative for elite private intelligence firm Byzantium, returns on a new mission. Once she returns to the firm, she performs her secretive duties without knowing who to trust and who wants her dead, which isn't entirely new for her, because most members of the firm often confront life and death situations on secret missions and are sometimes unaware of who or what they are fighting for. When she evades a furious Bernard Faroux, who discovered that she is not who he thought she was, she is rescued by a close colleague, Aidan Marsh, who may be the only person she can trust -- and maybe even have a romantic interest.
