Plot Synopsis

Raised in total seclusion in the remote woods of Eastern Europe, Hanna has spent her entire young life training to fight those who hunt her and her mercenary father, Erik Heller. Her survivalist skills are finally tested when she and Erik are separated upon their discovery by a rogue CIA operative Marissa Wiegler and her team of agents. Hanna has no choice but to embark on a perilous journey alone across Europe as she seeks to reunite with her father and evade -- and ultimately take down -- the dangerous agents who target them. Hanna's isolated upbringing offers particularly daunting physical and emotional challenges as she is forced to navigate an ever-deepening conspiracy -- one that could be the undoing of both her and her father. On Super Bowl Sunday 2019 (Sunday, February 3), Amazon released the first episode of HANNA for a 24-hour period. Then, one week later, the first two episodes debuted at the Berlin Film Festival. HANNA has its official series premiere on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released all eight episodes of the first season.
HANNA returned for its eight-episode second season on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released the entire new season. Following her discovery at the end of Season 1, Hanna now knows she is not the only young woman with unparalleled skill and elite training. The Utrax program has produced a whole contingent of highly skilled trainees, whose development is about to reach the lethal "second phase." After their relocation to The Meadows facility, these trainees find their restrictions lifted and glimpse the possibility of a new identity in the outside world. But this apparent freedom will come at a heavy price. In Season 2, Hanna risks her freedom to rescue her friend Clara from the clutches of the Utrax program, now run by John Carmichael and his second in command, Leo Garner. Hanna finds help in the unlikely form of her previous nemesis, CIA agent Marissa Wiegler, who must protect both herself and Hanna from the ruthless organization she once trusted. Yet as Hanna delves deeper into the elusive world of The Meadows and meets others like herself, including Sandy and Jules, she begins to question her role in the larger context of Utrax's assassin program and ultimately, where she truly belongs.
