Plot Synopsis

In GUILLERMO DEL TORO's CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, creator, executive producer and co-showrunner Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales (including two original stories by del Toro) are brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro. GUILLERMO DEL TORO's CABINET OF CURIOSITIES debuts on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 launching a special four-day, double-episode "Netflix & Chills" Halloween event. Two all-new CABINET OF CURIOSITIES tales debut daily through Friday, October 28. Stories include:

"Lot 36" (Tuesday, October 25, 2022): Tim Blake Nelson, Elpidia Carrillo, Demetrius Grosse and Sebastian Roche star in an episode written by Regina Corrado (based on an original story by Guillermo del Toro); and directed by Guillermo Navarro. To pay off his debt, a man secures a storage unit filled with mysterious possessions to sell, but soon finds himself in a deadly and desperate situation.

"The Autopsy" (Wednesday, October 26, 2022): F. Murray Abraham, Glynn Turman and Luke Roberts will appear in an episode written by David S. Goyer (based on a short story by Michael Shea), and directed by David Prior. A seasoned sheriff investigates a dead body in the woods and calls on an old pal, a medical examiner, to help piece together a series of chilling events.

"The Outside" (Wednesday, October 26, 2022): Kate Micucci and Martin Starr lead an episode written by Haley Z. Boston (based on a short story by comic book author Emily Carroll) and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour. Longing to fit in at work, awkward Stacey begins to use a popular lotion that causes an alarming reaction, while an unnerving transformation takes shape.

"Pickman's Model" (Thursday, October 27, 2022): Ben Barnes, Crispin Glover, and Oriana Leman star in an episode written by Lee Patterson (based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft) and directed by Keith Thomas. Art student Will meets introvert Richard, whose terrifying works of art begin to have a deeply disturbing effect on Will's sense of reality.

"Dreams in the Witch House" (Thursday, October 27, 2022): Rupert Grint, Ismael Cruz Cordova, DJ Qualls, Nia Vardalos and Tenika Davis star in an episode written by Mika Watkins (based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft) and directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Years after his twin sister's death, a researcher ventures into a dark, mysterious realm with the aid of a special drug, determined to bring her back.
