Plot Synopsis

In THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW, hosted by Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, renowned British bakers Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood search for the UK's best amateur bakers by testing their competitors' skills on cakes, breads, pastries and desserts of all kinds, ultimately crowning a winner after 10 weeks of competition.

On Friday, August 31, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released five seasons of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW, including the U.S. premiere of the show's 10-episode eighth season, featuring Paul Hollywood being joined by new judge Preu Leith and two new hosts: Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig. The other four seasons previously aired on PBS.

The eleventh season of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW had its U.S. premiere on Netflix (as Collection 8) on Friday, September 25, 2020. In the season opener, "Cake Week," kick out the jams and roll with the sponges as 30 new tests await. It's time for the competitors to tackle elegant mini rolls, rich malt loaves and heavenly gravity-defiers.

On Friday, September 16, 2022, the 13th season of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW made its U.S. debut on Netflix. A new batch of contestants brings their best to the big white tent, whipping up cakes, biscuits, breads and more, as they try to impress returning judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills. Hosted again by Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas. In the season opener, "Cake Week," a dozen hopefuls whip up gorgeous, gooey mini cakes and a classic red velvet before adding a new layer to their status as home bakers.

The 14th season of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW made its U.S. debut on Friday, September 29, 2023, as Netflix released the first episode of the new season. In this tent, some bakers rise while others crumble. A fresh batch of contestants -- and a new co-host -- join judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. A new episode dropped weekly through December 1.

On Friday, December 1, 2023, Netflix released the Season 14 finale of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW. The finalists create exquisite eclairs, traditional English tea bread and three-tier cakes in hopes of taking home the prize.
