Plot Synopsis

GRANDFATHERED is a half-hour comedy series that centers on charismatic longtime bachelor Jimmy Martino, whose life is upended when he discovers he's a father -- and a grandfather. Jimmy's old girlfriend Sara, a former rocker chick who became pregnant with his child 26 years ago, raised their child, Gerald, single-handedly but never made Jimmy aware of his son's existence. But now, Gerald wants a strong father figure to teach him how to navigate the rocky shoals of romance, so Sara disrupts Jimmy's long bachelorhood with the news -- and underneath, their old attraction may still be simmering. Gerald is a sweet unemployed techie who is the proud -- and surprisingly capable -- father of two-year-old Edie, a daughter who was the product of a one-night stand with the sexy Vanessa. Just when Vanessa seems to be warming up to Gerald, she meets Jimmy and is instantly attracted to this older, cooler man -- a complication that doesn't bode well for Gerald. Helping Jimmy with his new family and potential love issues are: Annelise, the assistant manager at his restaurant; and Ravi, his good friend who is always up for a party.

FOX premiered the season finale of GRANDFATHERED on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT, with Regina Hall and Michael Trucco guest starring. In the season ender, "The Cure," Jimmy and Sara wonder if they should give their relationship another shot, but Sara is hesitant to put herself in a position to get hurt again. Meanwhile, Gerald plans an elaborate proposal for Vanessa.
