Plot Synopsis

"Golf in America" is a 10-episode, half-hour series that takes you across the United States telling inspirational stories related to the game of golf. In the first episode, Justin Timberlake takes viewers on a tour of The Big Creek Golf Course in Millington, Tennessee. Timberlake led a group of investors that purchased his hometown course in late 2007 for $800,000, saving his childhood memory from residential development. Not only did the group save the course, but it's also converting the links into an environmentally-friendly facility that is built to the highest of the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards (LEED). The second episode highlights The Prison View Golf Course at Louisiana State Penitentiary, where inmates maintain the course but cannot play it. If you'd like a tee-time at Prison View, be prepared to submit your personal information for a background check at least 48 hours in advance.
