Plot Synopsis

GARAGE REHAB is a one-hour reality series that follows FAST N' LOUD's Richard Rawlings and his expert team -- project manager Russell J. Holmes and garage designer Chris Stephens -- as they travel across America to find shops in need of transformation. Once a garage is identified and the deal is sealed, Richard takes over, making all decisions for the business as he works to revamp and revitalize the enterprise. From a dilapidated garage in Texas filled to the rim with junk to a cash-strapped hot rod shop in Southern California about to close its doors, in each episode Richard takes on a seemingly impossible challenge and uses his entrepreneurial savvy, deep knowledge of the auto industry, and multi-faceted marketing skills to transform these struggling garages into profitable businesses. Dealing with out-of-touch owners, lazy employees, bad workflow and significant construction challenges, Richard and his team must work around the clock to meet tight deadlines and re-open the shops to their customers -- if they have any left. A construction expert with over 20 years of experience, Russell has seen and dealt with just about any problem a contractor could encounter. He's tasked with getting Richard's rehabs done on time and on budget - no small feat with looming deadlines and cost overruns. Russell watched his own father lose a family business and now is dedicated to helping other shops before it's too late. Chris is responsible for taking Richard's vision for the shop and implementing the design from the ground up. Highly efficient and a stickler for detail, Chris demands that every aspect of the plan and the placement of every piece of equipment meet his approval. As a shop owner himself, specializing in restoring vintage European cars, Chris knows exactly what it takes for an auto garage to be successful and profitable. In the series opener, "Grapevine Automotive," Richard uses his time, money, and resources to help a failing garage right in his own backyard of Dallas, TX. He and his crew have less than a week to completely overhaul the shop and give the owner a restart of becoming a successful business.

Season 2 of GARAGE REHAB premiered on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 8-10pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel, immediately following a nine-hour marathon (11-8pm) of encore episodes from the first season. This season, in addition to working the biggest build in GARAGE REHAB history (a 20,000 square foot collision repair shop), Richard and his expert team take on their most important rehab yet - a veteran-run garage that teaches automotive repair skills to men and women transitioning out of military service. Richard is thrilled and gratified to be part of such a special project and works with Russell and Chris to ensure the garage and its owners are set up for tremendous success. In the season opener, "Jacob's Automotive," Richard and his team head to Sturgis, S.D., to rescue a family-run garage, convenience store and service station; the guys race to complete their most complex rehab to date in time for a grand re-opening.
