Plot Synopsis

GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL profiles the most notorious kingpins and merciless thugs law enforcement has ever confronted. Each 60-minute episode tells the story of a single criminal, including these thugs in Season 1: Juan Raul Garza (pictured), whose gang made millions of dollars running drugs across "Marijuana Boulevard," the Gateway bridge linking Mexico and the U.S. in Brownsville, TX, while becoming the first felon targeted for death by the federal government in more than 30 years -- and being executed by lethal injection by the U.S. government at Terre Haute, IN on June 19, 2001; Harry 'Taco' Bowman, former regional president and national vice president of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, who was convicted in April 2001 of racketeering, conspiracy to murder, and various drug and firearm offenses; Griselda 'The Godmother of Cocaine' Blanco (aka La Madrina), the most ruthless narcotics queenpin, who ran a billion-dollar crime syndicate with more than 600 people on her payroll moving more than 3,400 pounds for cocaine a month in the United States -- and she even named her son Michael Corleone; Alberto 'Alpo' Martinez, a self-proclaimed Harlem drug lord and notorious snitch, who is currently serving life sentences for 14 homicides even though he became a government witness, giving up his right-hand man once in custody; and many more criminal masterminds.

The sophomore season debuted on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10pm ET, with a new season featuring criminals like: Clarence 'Preacher' Heatley, who founded a gang, Preacher Crew, in 1983 in Harlem; Bartolome Moya, who led a deadly narcotics and extortion racket in NYC; Lisette Lee (aka The Pot Princess of Beverly Hills), who was arrested for narcotics trafficking in 2010; Ruben 'Doc' Cavazos, the former International President of the Mongols Motorcycle Club, who wanted to take on Hells Angels MC; and many more.

Season 3 of GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL premiered on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on a new channel, ReelzChannel. The season opener highlighted Juan Ramon Matta Ballesteros, who became one of the most powerful drug lords south of the border by connecting the Mexican and Colombian drug cartels. But state lines mean nothing to U.S. law enforcement when he orders the torture and murder of one of their own. Subsequent episodes feature the stories of: James Spencer Springette (aka Jimmy the Juice), who went from selling juice to tourists on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands to distributing thousands of kilos of cocaine into the United States; Dustin Honken, who was a mastermind chemist who made and sold a deadly concoction of crystal methamphetamine -- but the federal government would accuse him of much more than that when two of the key witnesses in the case against him suddenly disappeared; and many more notorious criminals.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, ReelzChannel premiered the fourth season of GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL. The season opener features the life of James 'Whitey' Bulger, one of the most notorious organized crime bosses in American history -- not only for the murders he committed but for turning the FBI into his informants. As the leader of South Boston's Winter Hill Gang, Bulger wreaked terror on his own community for decades. On the run for 16 years, Bulger would finally be captured by the very agency that once helped him get away with murder.

Season 5 of GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL premiered on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on ReelzChannel. In each new hour-long episode, the unsavory side of celebrity is put under the spotlight with profiles on the corrupt characters, ruthless outlaws and scary kingpins who inspire Hollywood crime dramas including Mafia Cops, David Thai, Vito Rizzuto and the Harvey Hustlers among others.

GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL returned with a special episode on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on ReelzChannel. This one-hour special, "Larry Hoover "King of the Gangsters'," features a man known as the founder of the notorious Chicago street gang, the Gangster Disciples, whose legacy is starting one of the first street gangs that was run as a business. While in state prison Hoover ran a $100 million-a-year drug business according to federal authorities. Law enforcement says tens of thousands of gang soldiers continued to work for Hoover in Chicago and other cities answering ultimately to a corporate-style board that Hoover led as the undisputed chairman. Hoover's name continues to be controversial as many Chicago residents feel he was a role model to the community while others bemoan his criminal contributions. There are several high-profile Hollywood A-listers who are campaigning for his early release including rap superstar Kanye West who famously met with President Donald Trump on behalf of Hoover to ask that his charges be diminished but the request was denied and Hoover remains incarcerated. Discussing his role as attorney for Hoover is Justin Moore while former Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Safter shares his experience prosecuting Hoover in 1997.
