Plot Synopsis

Seth MacFarlane's animated comedy series follows the outrageous trials and tribulations of Peter Griffin and his not-quite-so-average family of middle-class New Englanders. Peter's odd family includes: Lois, his wife, who is a stay-at-home mom with no patience for her family's antics; 17-year-old Meg, who is an outcast at school and the Griffin family punching bag; 13-year-old Chris, who is a socially awkward teen without a clue about the opposite sex; one-year-old Stewie, who is a diabolically clever baby with a burgeoning sexuality that's very much a work in progress; and Brian, the family dog and novelist, who is one step away from AA. Guest voices in Season 11 include Sofia Vergara, Elizabeth Banks, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Kellan Lutz, and more. Season 12 of FAMILY GUY premiered on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on Fox, as the citizens of Quahog compete against each other searching for a prize -- using a restaurant placement that Peter believes to be a treasure map. Guest voices for the 12th season include: Ashton Kutcher, Liam Neeson, Bryan Cranston, Conan O'Brien, Adam Levine, Peter Dinklage, Jeff Daniels, Michelle Dockery, Jon Cryer, and more. FAMILY GUY returned for its thirteenth season on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX, starting with the special one-hour "The Simpsons Guy" season premiere crossover event with THE SIMPSONS. In the season opener, Peter and the Griffins get out of dodge and end up in Springfield, where they are greeted by a friendly stranger named Homer Simpson (guest voice Dan Castellaneta), who welcomes his new "albino" friends with open arms. The families get along famously: Stewie and Bart (guest voice Nancy Cartwright) make out like bandits when Stewie trades in his mind control device for a good old-fashioned slingshot; Lisa (guest voice Yeardley Smith) takes Meg under her wing and teaches her the saxophone; and Peter and Homer fight over the best beer in town: Pawtucket vs Duff. Season 14 of FAMILY GUY premiered on Sunday,, September 27, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Pilling Them Softly," Stewie is diagnosed with ADD and prescribed Adderall, which Brian takes to write a 2000-page proposal to pitch to author George R.R. Martin at a book convention. Meanwhile, Quagmire and Peter compete, Iron Chef-style, to determine which of them gets to keep his new cooking show. FOX premiered a new season of FAMILY GUY on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, with guest star Amy Schumer as the voice of crew leader. In the season opener, "The Boys In The Band," Stewie and Brian form a children's band that quickly rises to fame until they let a girl get between them and drive the band apart. Meanwhile, Peter and Lois insist that Chris gets a job so he takes a job managing Quagmire's sex life as his personal assistant. Later in the season, Chris snags Taylor Swift as his homecoming date; Peter fills in for Santa on Christmas; Quagmire discovers the dating app Tinder; and Peter opens up a food truck. Additional guest voices in the new season include Sean Penn, NBA champ Steph Curry, NFL champ Rob Gronkowski, Kyle Chandler, David Tennant and Jacob Tremblay. Season 15 of FAMILY GUY premiered on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Emmy-Winning Episode," Peter embarks on his own For Your Consideration campaign for FAMILY GUY by making the show more like Emmy-winning shows -- and no category is off limits, because he's tired of not winning an Emmy. Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Louis C.K., Bill Maher, Christina Pickles, and the late Adam West guest voice. Other guest voices this season include Sir Ian McKellen, Ryan Reynolds, Amanda Seyfried, Kristen Bell, Kathleen Turner, Eric Dane and Danny Trejo. The series also celebrates its 300th episode.
On Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, FOX premiered "Are You There God? It's Me, Peter," the Season 16 finale of FAMILY GUY. Peter has a personal encounter with God after he is sent into a coma, which prompts him to begin asking some of the toughest questions about life. Seven days earlier -- on Monday, May 14 -- FOX announced that FAMILY GUY will return for its seventeenth season this Fall, continuing to air Sundays at 9pm.
