Plot Synopsis

THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW is a syndicated, one-hour, daytime talk show that features host Ellen DeGeneres interviewing guests in a relaxed environment, allowing them to engage in entertaining and thoughtful discussions on topical issues. When members of Hollywood's A-list and Ellen get together, anything can happen -- from dancing with First Lady Michelle Obama to Christmas caroling with Britney Spears, to catching George Clooney after setting numerous "Clooney traps." Season 11 premiered on Monday, September 9, 2013, featuring these guests during the first week: Leah Remini (Monday); Simon Cowell and Diana Nyad (Tuesday); Celine Dion (Wednesday); Ray Romano and Amber Riley (Thursday); and Andy Samberg and Fred Rosser (Friday). ELLEN returned for its twelfth season on Monday, September 8, 2014 with a two-day season premiere event. Ellen starts by taking the Ice Bucket Challenge, with Anthony Carbajal sharing his story about his own experience with ALS. Then, THE VOICE coaches -- Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrel Williams -- join Ellen to chat. Plus, Maroon 5 performs. On the second day of the premiere event Kim Kardashian West stops by to talk, and then Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora perform "Black Widow." The rest of premiere week features: Channing Tatum & Nicki Minaj (Wed); David Spade (Thu); and Harry Connick Jr. (Fri). On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, ELLEN returned for its thirteenth season (check local listings for time and channel) with a bi-coastal premiere week. Ellen kicks off Season 13's premiere week with two episodes in Los Angeles (Sep 8 & 9) and then heads to Rockefeller Center in New York (Sep 10 & 11).
