EAT YOUR HISTORY is a half-hour docuseries that follows chef and self-proclaimed food nerd Dan Kohler, as he uncovers the unbelievable history of food. On Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the series pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Classic Cookout Plate," Dan explores this history of the classic backyard barbecue plate. He discovers how the hot dog became such a cookout staple, reveals the origins of macaroni salad and traces how science gave Jell-O the edge in becoming the most iconic summertime dessert.
