Plot Synopsis

THE DEVILS RIDE follows the Laffing Devils nomad motorcycle club, with its unofficial headquarters in San Diego, California, where the MC members are in open conflict with each other -- and sometimes those around them. When Season 1 was filmed, the Laffing Devils were only five years old, after being started when Gipsy and four friends wanted a club of their own, with two of the founding five being former military and all five of them divorced men. This MC had developed a strong brotherhood, but as its membership continued to grow, it faced a number of difficulties. The club had outgrown its unofficial headquarters at an auto body shop owned by fellow member Hawkster, and police pressure forced the club to find a new meeting place. Plus, many new members had their own agendas, which were in conflict with the founders' reasons for forming the MC, causing the older members to fight for the status quo. On top of that, there was an internal power struggle, with its Vice President, Billy the Kid, waiting in the wings, wondering if he'd have a chance to lead the Laffing Devils, while considering what he'd do once he was in power. Gipsy, one of the club's founders and its President at the start of Season 1, is a former Marine that credits the club for helping him deal with the emotional scars of war. After he was pushed out of the Devils, he and another disgruntled former member, Bubba, teamed up to start another motorcycle club: Sinister Mob Syndicate (Sin Mob). Gipsy's new mission was to put the old brotherhood out of business, and he started by stealing the Devils' colors. In Season 2, which debuted on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10pm ET, the Laffing Devils had to fight for their existence -- once the fastest growing MC in the country, the club only had 10 members and its President, Billy the Kid, was AWOL, throwing the MC into chaos. Meanwhile, the Sin Mob had a new President, Bubba, after allegations surfaced against Gipsy, who was on his own, no longer part of either MC. Meanwhile Bubba, a former Devil, planned to push the Laffing Devils out of town so Sin Mob could take their place. By the end of Season 2, Devil Snubz found the dirt on Sin Mob that could help Danny Boy finally take down the rival club, but troubling news about Sandman distracted him from preparing for the counterattack. Meanwhile at Sin Mob, Bubba caught Rockem running a rogue operation, but eventually led an attack against the Devils at their clubhouse.

THE DEVILS RIDE launched its third season on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery. Season 3 opened with armed thugs stripping the two club presidents of their cuts, forcing the clubs to look for answers and brace for conflict. The Laffing Devils club prez Danny Boy re-enlisted Sandman, who was out on bail, awaiting trial for an attempted murder charge. Meanwhile Sin Mob regrouped under club prez Rockem, but VP Bubba had doubts about the violent direction the club was taking. When the clubs received an ultimatum from a legendary one-percent club that there can be only one red and gray club in San Diego, the Devils and Sin Mob embarked on a campaign to restore their reputations and avoid being wiped out.
