Plot Synopsis

Kardea Brown shares down-home, Southern recipes from her South Carolina kitchen. The cook and caterer was born and raised on the sea islands of Charleston, the heart of all Southern cooking, and learned to cook in her grandmother's kitchen. These days, she takes generations of family recipes and makes them her own as she cooks for family and friends at her Sea Island home. In the series opener, "Sunday Supper," Kardea Brown invites her family over for a scrumptiously Southern Sunday supper after a morning spent in church. She's serving up a few of her family's favorites for dinner, including Fried Chicken Po' Boys and her own twist on her grandma's Crab Mac and Cheese. For dessert, Kardea bakes her Aunt TC's famous Lemon Lime Soda Cake.

DELICIOUS MISS BROWN returned for its second season on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Light Low Country," Kardea is having two special guests over for dinner -- her mom and grandma! Since her grandma is watching what she eats, Kardea prepares a meal that's deliciously Southern without breaking the calorie counter. She makes Grilled Pork Chops with a homemade Apple and Mango Compote, along with flavorful Cauliflower Rice. For dessert, there are Mini Sweet Potato Pies topped with Toasted Pecans.

Season 3 of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN premiered on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season debut, "Grilling Out with the Girls," Kardea has planned the perfect menu to celebrate the end of summer with her girlfriends. She's grilling up Jerk Chicken and Pineapple Skewers with Sweet and Savory Grilled Corn, and she serves Sweet Heat Baked Beans on the side. To help everyone cool off, she freezes Spiked Mojito Pops.

Food Network premiered the fourth season of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 11:30am ET/PT. In the season opener, "NOLA Brunch," Kardea is whipping up a tasty brunch with a spicy twist! Her mom Pat is coming over for her favorite meal inspired by her top bucket list destination: New Orleans. First up, Kardea makes a Cheesy Creole Breakfast Skillet with andouille sausage and shrimp covered in a creamy Creole sauce with a colorful Mardi Gras Salad on the side. Then, she fries up scrumptious New Orleans Beignets with Raspberry Syrup. To top of the perfect NOLA brunch, Kardea puts her twist on a Louisiana classic with a kick -- the Pimm's Cup!

Season 5 of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN premiered on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. IN the season opener, "End-of-Summer Celebration," Kardea is celebrating the end of summer in style by inviting her family over for a seafood cookout. Her mouthwatering menu includes Charcoal Grilled Oysters topped with herb butter, Charleston Crab Crack with all the sauces, Smoked Fish Dip with crudite and crackers, Cornbread Panzanella and a light, refreshing Fun in the Sun Cocktail. When the cookout is over, it's time to light up the sky with fireworks!

DELICIOUS MISS BROWN returned for its sixth season on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Bestie Brunch," Kardea Brown is entertaining her childhood best friend, Kimiko, for the weekend, and she decides to make them a delicious brunch inspired by the breakfasts Kimiko's grandma used to make them as kids. She starts with a Meat Lovers Quiche and dreamy Lemon Sweet Rolls for a spin on classic cinnamon rolls. Kardea also makes a Strawberry Arugula Salad in Crispy Parmesan Cups and Tropical Dragon Fruit Mimosas for a must-have cocktail.

The seventh season of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN debuted on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Beach Clambake!," Kardea is cooking for an event celebrating the restoration of Mosquito Beach, a significant place in Charleston's Gullah history. She starts off with traditional West African Peanut Stew and grills Stuffed Whole Snapper with herbs, lemons and tomatoes. She also whips up her Southern riff on cilantro rice, Collard Green Rice, and prepares Sweet Bread with Pineapple Jam for dessert.

On Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Noon ET/PT, Food Network premiered the eighth season of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN. In the season opener, "Lighter Side of Soul Food," Kardea cooks up some classic Southern dishes that are mouthwatering and light. First up, Veggie Soup Bunch is a dish that was always simmering in her grandma's kitchen. Then, a flaky Pecan and Panko Crusted Baked Fish with Mashed Parsnips is followed by something sweet, Blackberry Lavender Cornmeal Cake. This meal may be light, but it does not skimp on the flavor!

Season 9 of DELICIOUS MISS BROWN debuted on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Feeding the Team," Kardea Brown is always rooting for the home team, and today she's feeding her local college football team some winning dishes to fuel them all season long. She serves up Chopped Cheese Sandwiches, Colossal Onion Rings, Hot Carolina Chicken Fingers and Apple Pie Hand Pies with Apple Cider Glaze.
